Takes time to build respect , and you really have improved as a driver, this "episode" has dented that. But aslong as you are sincere, this will be forgiven but maybe not forgotten by all.

i did record the sound clipping starting from 30 each time i lower the write ahead value i change pitch so i could make it in one file

at .23 sound is just about gone.

OK tried installing fresh LFS Ver Q > patched to ver U->

Start up error fixed , first unlock attempt > unlock error >2nd attempt LFS hardlock>tried to kill proccess >system lock

Patched to U14->

Can attempt unlocking without hardlocking system now , but still gives "unlock error"

Sound is exactley as described as Orion stated, ive tried a few things , Vista alows you to split channels etc or give app priority nothing seems to help this lag/clip effect going under .26/27

I did find a fix for if sound totally stops working in game (which it did on 2 occasions) disable all music then re-enable (i didnt try shift&w shift &n if i can reproduce this ill post and test these hot keys)

cueball this is somthing ive been hoping since s2 alpha demo , individual tyre selction type/change etc, also in garage ie fr-r2 fl-r3 etc.
thinking a little more maybe have the % system , used for idividual pit orders, ie
if FR > 50% Wear change Type R2
(also option to set no change)
FL> 70% Wear change Type R3

etc would be perfect. (for now)

but as it stands it does the job ok and in game representation of wear is lovely (F9)

make sure when going online you have s2 selected and not demo in multiplayer screen.

DONT OVERCLOCK , this is why system is causing halt state, set everything to default and then report back.

With summer here things are hotter in PC and this is why after reboot its still freezing , thermal protection (p-states) in proccesor.

Im no einstein, but let me put it another way , imagine you bought brand new small road car, and got on autobahn/motorway/highway and drove 1000km , tyres would still be ok, a little bit of wear here and there.

All depends how you drive.

Edit reading your first post , what id like to see in pits in a no change tyre option , i wouldnt like to have a % shwon for tyre wear + the fact tyre wear is un-even so you have 50% tread left but maybe on innertread 10% (depending on camber) so its ireelevant to have % plus takes away the unkown,like vain mentioned , imagine scenario .

Wasnt trying Anyhow i do know what you mean,sorry for biting but (couldnt help it). i think LFS has gone full cirlce a few times , influx of new + old etc. I still think even with the problems LFS encounters as it grows in popularity, the general feeling i get is that majority are clean and fair and are always improving, i think its always the case that it can take just 1 driver to ruin a race , no matter of his/her ability or experience.

Like most things in life, its what you make it. And im proud to say after more then 3 years playing LFS im still completely hooked, and this is mainly down to the attitude of gaming/racing i find in LFS :grouphug: . great place to be, even if sometimes its the wall/sand/dirt (bah)

I find your post pretty offensive tbh , most fast racers with high milage are usually the best might not be the cleanest, but this is racing we are talking about , some corners are all about guts, and main reason they dont have 1,129,144 posts in the forum is because they are to busy racing.

Racing last night on Southcity in XRG/XFG with racers like
MinusDriver, three_jump, SparkyDave, Modoff, Palich, Bawbag, ACLRacer, JeeP, al heeley, Bob Smith, nikimere, Thommm, sidi, teaz-R, Vince, Knick

To mention a few check out the stats most have done quite a fair few miles, most are fast (not to sure about Vince or dave both pretty much noobs tbh ) . sure a few accidents, and some very hard racing, one thing that i find with racing a more experinced feild is respect for each other, without that , there is no trust and with no trust , well.. you turn cynical.

Racing fox,fo8,bf1 is a different discipline to most of the other vehicles, this is the point i think your trying to make. Just dont paint everyone with the same brush.

Hi devs just quick one (i wish)

There a a few endurance races and im terrible at controling mouse and pitting to swap driver , is it possible to bind the clicky t , to wheel button or keyboard command in new cotrol option? please if you can do this before race tommorow at moment in busy race having to first press n then move mouse to t then click , and keep car , postion and change driver is pretty darn tricky and i think just a simple button option would make things alot easier.

Yep even more disturbing at 4am with no headphones, not just for me.

Collision dection is ok, its better then it was, some tracks have bad problems still, South city in particular,if you get some lag near wall when your close and clip it with wheel area , it can put an end to your race,usually by some extreme stunt from just brushing the wall surface , faster the car the more risk seems to be the case.

Aslong as wheels/susp? dont get mixed into the collision equation, seems pretty good imo,could be better though (how? i dunno) most things that make it so difficult have been mentioned , samplingrate, cpu/pc numbercrunching power and network latency.

Recently having raced in ESL UK ERRC we had to adopt to the new patch , before this it was pretty much hands together and pray if you got close to oppenent and started to rub panels, it would usualy end up a mess after the patch though it did feel alot safer (if thats possible anyway )

Now, imo, you can really force your car past sometimes in the slower classes and not worry about "boing" tm.

It is a shame TBO4 class is not as popular as it was. as this is where LFS really excels as an experience for me.

Ive seen this happen alot with one of our team members , not so much now , if some asked if she was a girl , half our team would jump up shouting "im a layyydeeeeee" (little britain) ,would help dispell the initial disbelief that women can play games (usually with much more mature attitude) and stop some of the questions that follow.

I just hope this doesnt put you off racing LFS or just being part of the whole scene, i like to think that LFS is fresh change from most gaming communities, there is alot more respect and open mindedness then most found in here and online/racing.
